Bicycle trips!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the long absence from the blog!

Anyways, how're you guys doing? I'm having a blast here being able to ride my bicycle again! I've been stuck with the subway all winter long, and even though it's a lovely vehicle I'm very fond of, I still have to walk a lot to get where I need to go. So yeah, my absolute favourite thing is my bicycle, and it's finally back for good!

I'm actually planning to have a very long trip next year throughout Japan on wheels, and I'm looking for recommendations for places to visit! I've never been outside the Sapporo area (if we don't count the eight hours I spent in Narita), so what city do you think everybody should visit? I also plan to visit a lot of small towns unknown to the tourist masses!

But that's next year. This year I want to take my bicycle and see Hokkaido. I'd like to go to Mount Maruyama, they told me it's very far, but I think I'll be able to handle it.

See you guys soon at CCC!

No more acrobatics!

It seems that everyone is talking about the end of winter or the beginning of spring and indeed it must be the major event of this month. I'll stick to the topic and will talk about my first experience in Sapporo the Snowy!

I set a foot In Japan for the first time last year on the 5th of April so today it's been a year I arrived in Sapporo! Congratulations to me to have survived through the Japanese jungle and Hokkaido's rough winter!

When I arrived last year I had no idea how the snow could be so entertaining! I knew about winter sports such as snowboarding or skiing of course but not about freestyle acrobatics! And this is what I may miss the most, indeed! Seeing people's acrobatics in the street to stay on their own 2 feet, comparing our own acrobatics among friends and keeping record of my own amazing falls was quite entertaining! I mean for a foreigner not use to the snow I am proudly announcing that I fell ONLY 4 times! I beat all my non-Hokkaido's friends ! What about you?

Well, anyway, it is now HOT and we'll soon all be wearing light dresses and shorts! No more scarves, boots, jumpers or hats ( except maybe one friend of mine working also at the chit chat cafe... You know who you are hahaha).

Well, everyone, enjoy this late spring and let's wait for the flowers to bloom!

Talk to you soon at the chit chat cafe!
